Linus Udofia (Middleweight contender)
It’s a toss-up between David Haye and Evander Holyfield but I’ve got to go with the ‘Real Deal’. He was something else. I watched him at a very young age and took something from his style. He was never the most naturally gifted, but just always gritted his teeth when it got hard and got the job done. He was on another level. He epitomised hard work and never giving up.
Wayne Alexander (Former European super-welterweight champion)
It has to be the ‘Real Deal’ Evander Holyfield. He won all three world championship belts within four years of turning professional and by the age of just twenty-five. He had it all: speed, power, combination punching, and a great chin.
Dave Allen (Heavyweight contender)
Oleksandr Usyk, David Haye and Evander Holyfield have to be the top three. I’m a huge fan of all three but, because of the time I got into boxing, my favourite would have to be Haye.
Dave Coldwell (Top trainer)
If I can’t pick Tony Bellew, I’ll go for Oleksandr Usyk. Holyfield was the standard bearer and Haye as a cruiserweight had the potential to be fantastic and was still very good – though I think Holyfield would’ve beaten him. I’m a massive fan of Usyk at cruiserweight and, because it’s more in my time, I’ll pick him over Holyfield.
