UAE league’s franchise, Gulf Giants, is confident of resolving the dispute between Chris Lynn and Cricket Australia (CA) before the season begins next year.
CA stated that Lynn hasn’t asked for the mandatory NOC which will allow him to play in any league outside Australia. However, he doesn’t have a contract with the board and should be allowed to play anywhere nonetheless, which brought up the dispute.
“CA’s position is that we have not received any NOC requests and we are already aware he has signed with (the) UAE (league),” said a spokesman for the Big Bash League (BBL).
The Australian board also said that there is confirmation for a request for a NOC from Lynn.
“Cricket Australia has yet to receive a request for a no objection certificate relating to any player’s participation in overseas leagues this upcoming season,” CA confirmed in a statement as well.
Lynn doesn’t have a BBL contract either. Adani Sportsline, which owns the Gulf Giants franchise, confirmed to Cricbuzz that there will be a solution to the problem very soon.
“We are working on his NOC. Hopefully, we will be able to manage something,” an Adani Sportsline official said.
