BCCI Announces Team India Women's Squad For England Tour – Cricket Addictor

On Friday, August 19, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the India Women’s National Cricket Team squad for the upcoming tour of England.
The India tour of England 2022 consists of a three-match ODI series and a three-match T20I series. The T20I games will be played on September 10, 13 and 15 while the ODI games will be played on September 18, 21 and 24.

All 6 games of the series between India and England are scheduled to be played at different venues. The T20I games will be played at the Riverside in Durham, The Incora County Ground in Derby and Bristol County Ground in Bristol. The ODI games will be played at the 1st Central County Ground in Hove, Canterbury and Lord’s in London.
“The All-India Women’s Selection Committee picked the squads for India’s upcoming tour of England. India will play three T20Is and three ODIs in England starting September 10th, 2022,” the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stated.
The India Women’s squads will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur with Smriti Mandhana serving as her deputy. Richa Ghosh has made a comeback to the T20I side and the 27-year-old K.P. Navgire has got her maiden T20I call-up.
Veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami has been included in the ODI squad for the series against England and the 21-year-old Jemimah Rodrigues, who recently got ruled out of The Hundred competition due to an injury, has been included in both the squads.
India’s T20I squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (Vice-captain), Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Pooja Vastrakar, Jemimah Rodrigues, Sneh Rana, Renuka Thakur, Meghna Singh, Radha Yadav, Sabbineni Meghana, Taniyaa Sapna Bhatia (WK), Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Dayalan Hemalatha, Simran Dil Bahadur, Richa Ghosh (WK), K.P. Navgire
