There were some notable absentees, as confirmed by Thomas Tuchel in his pre-match press conference, including N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Armando Broja.
However, Christian Pulisic was back with the group following some Achilles issues, while the likes of captain Cesar Azpilicueta, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz all featured.
It was a light-hearted session on an overcast morning at our Surrey training base, which started with the basketball nets replacing goalposts before the focus turned to more tactical work ahead Sunday’s visit to Elland Road.
