Golf course design is at a “cross-roads” as exciting new developments are taking place in an industry that has played a central role in the design and development of all golf courses right around the world.
One of the leading experts in golf course design feels that new trends are rapidly emerging in how golf is played and how this is impacting the types of courses to be built in the future. The man with that special vision is Paul Stringer, President of Nicklaus Companies who leads the course design team at the company started by golf legend Jack Nicklaus.
Paul, with over 25 years of experience in the golf business globally, oversees the global design business of Nicklaus Companies. Paul is considered one of the leading experts in the industry.
“As one of the industry experts, we are fortunate to have Paul speak at the 2022 Asia Pacific Golf Summit which will be held in Vietnam in November,” said Mike Sebastian, Publisher of Asian Golf and the owner and producer of APGS 2022.
He started his career as a golf professional and general manager at various clubs in the Southwestern United States. He has been a two-term board member of the Southwest Section of the PGA of America and is currently a PGA and Club Managers Association of America member. Prior to joining Nicklaus Design, Paul was a Senior Vice President at Troon Golf and was responsible for establishing and operating new facilities.
