It has been on DP World Tour for 140-plus days and has travelled more than 13,193km
The DP World initiative to collect and redistribute used golf balls during the 2022 DP World Tour season, giving the golf balls a second life, was launched in January at the Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club won by Norway’s Victor Hovland.
DP World’s vision for this project, is not only to support the development of grassroots golf but also to shine a light on how the increasing popularity of the game and the pandemic-induced supply chain challenges have impacted the sport industry.
The container, which is made from a repurposed 20-foot shipping container, can house as many as 200,000 golf balls and will weigh approximately 12 tonnes when full.
Through the season, spectators, fans, players and other partners of the DP World Tour have been invited to visit the container and donate unwanted balls at the selected tournaments.
DP World Tour official partner Callaway is supporting DP World in this initiative.
The 20-foot container is equipped with DP World’s Track & Trace technology, allowing everyone to pinpoint its exact location follow its journey anywhere in the world at https://www.dpworld.com/dpwtcontainer
To date during this DP World Tour season the DP World branded container has visited five tournaments on the DP World Tour as follows:

May 26-29: Dutch Open, Bernardus Golf, Cromvoirt, Netherlands.
June 2-5: Porsche European Open, Green Eagle Golf Courses, Hamburg, Germany.
June 9-12: Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed, Halmstad GC, Tylosand, Sweden.
June 23-26: BMW International, Golfclub Munchen Eichenried, Munich, Germany.
