Welcome to the daily WWE News Roundup, where we will look at the top news stories emerging from the biggest professional wrestling promotion on earth in the last 24 hours. Brock Lesnar reportedly walked out during WWE SmackDown after he came to know about Vince McMahon’s retirement, but he came back in the main event segment to attack Theory.
Former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio sent a heartfelt message to Vince McMahon, while a current WWE SmackDown Superstar’s merchandise is no longer on the official website of WWE Shop. Without further ado, here’s a look at the WWE News Roundup of the day.
Former WWE Manager Dutch Mantel shared his views on why Brock Lesnar may have walked out during the SmackDown episode. He felt Brock would have made some extra cash out of it. Speaking on Smack Talk, Mantel said:
“I think Brock may have made himself a million dollars. And he said, ‘Hey, if you can pay one of those women millions of dollars, hey, I’ll come back for a million bucks.’ I don’t know what he made, but he got something out of it because right at the end of the show, he was back.”
Today is a sad day in the sports entertainment and wrestling industry. @VinceMcMahon retired from @WWE at 77 years. Sir, thank you for believing in me and granting me the opportunity to change my life. Without you there wouldn’t be an Albert Del Río. Enjoy life! You deserve it. pic.twitter.com/Xg9UutYWN0

Like many former WWE Superstars, Alberto Del Rio took to social media to thank Vince McMahon for his contribution in his life. Del Rio thanked him for believing in him and also mentioned that he would be nothing without him.

Max Dupri is one of the new Superstars on SmackDown. He is the head of Maximum Male Models, but after last night’s SmackDown, his merchandise was absent from WWE Shop. Fans should note that the Maximum Male Models website is still active.
