After a crazy busy Saturday last weekend, we have only one main boxing event on the docket this Saturday. It’s a good one.
ESPN/ESPN+ presents a stacked card headlined by two former world champions as Jose “Sniper” Pedraza (29-4, 14 KOs) battles Richard “RC” Commey (30-4, 27 KOs) in a 10-round junior welterweight clash at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The card also features a ton of heavyweight action. The ten round co-feature has undefeated Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson (11-0, 11 KOs) returning against Miljan Rovcanin (24-2, 16 KOs). In addition, Efe Ajagba (15-1, 12 KOs) and Trey Lippe Morrison (18-1, 17 KOs) will see action in separate bouts.
Some other streams may pop up, including a Murat Gassiev fight on Friday, so we’ll keep you posted.
Always did like Commey. I can’t imagine he does well at 140, but he has a chance in this fight and should be a good one anyway.
Two fights in the last four years for Gassiev is no good, but he’s still just 28 which is a baby for a heavyweight, let’s see if he can make a run.
Damn! Big Baby Anderson has been gone for a minute!! Kid has monster potential!!
Morrison really got upset his last fight, was swinging too much and got caught.
Anderson, good boxer and puncher, good future.
Ajagba, will probably will be, and needs to be, a bit gun-shy before he gets back on track.
Good action heavyweight fighters, looking forward to this!
Gassiev, actually thought he would beat Usyk, but still recon he fought the totally wrong fight and also think Abel Sanchez gave him bad advice in the corner between rounds. All he was saying was more pressure, more pressure. Sanchez did the same with GGG, one dimensional advice. Gassiev has not been back to himself again after that loss, hope he gets it together again.
His opponent Carlouse Welch has a good record, but against unknown fighters and is 42 y old.
“Efe Ajagba (15-1, 12 KOs) and Trey Lippe Morrison (18-1, 17 KOs) will see action in separate bouts.”
– Wondering if these two will be fighting each other in the very near future.
Trey better hope not Gary.
Good card, gonna go with Commey by knockout.
Classy and humble fighter.
The real big specimen baby, not to be confused with the big fat baby
