2014 US Open finalist Kei Nishikori says he could not have realized his dreams alone and that's why he is trying to help younger players as much as he can. Nishikori, 32, spoke in the role of an Uniqlo Ambassador. "I couldn't have been who I am now alone.
In the beginning (of my tennis career) my parents helped me a lot, they let me move to US, then in US people around me, coaches, trainers have supported me, even my rivals sometimes motivated me in a way, I should be grateful.
Many people have been involved in my life, that makes who I am now. I have grown up watching pro players, learned from them without verbal teaching, so I want to leave children whatever I can give them, hope they will learn something watching me."

After undergoing a hip surgery in January, Nishikori was hoping to return at the start of the North American hard court swing.
This week, Nishikori was scheduled to play at the Winston-Salem Open. Nishikori, who accepted a main draw wildcard into Winston-Salem in July, returned his wildcard to the tournament organizers. Most recently, Nishikori accepted a wildcard into the San Diego Open, which starts on September 19.
"I want to thank the San Diego Open ATP 250 for the Wild Card. It’s exciting to have the opportunity to come to a beautiful city like San Diego and play at Barnes Tennis Center. I’ve heard so many great things about last year’s tournament.
Players said the Stadium Court is very nice and the fans were fantastic. I’m really looking forward to playing this event in September," Nishikori said in a statement released. Nishikori signed up to play the San Diego Open last year but ended up skipping the tournament. Barring a setback, Nishikori will make his San Diego debut this year.
