Even with injuries to J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Lamar Jackson last year, Baltimore still finished third in the NFL in rushing attempts and yards. This season, Edwards is on the PUP list and will miss the first four weeks, which means other running backs could be 2022 Fantasy football sleepers. Journeyman Mike Davis is poised to spell Dobbins and could rise up the 2022 Fantasy football rankings. Last year, the model accurately predicted that Patriots running back Damien Harris would dramatically outperform his fifth-round Fantasy football ADP. The result: Harris became the early-down workhorse for New England and rushed for 929 yards and 15 touchdowns to finish as the No. 8 running back in all of Fantasy football. One of the 2022 Fantasy football sleepers the model is predicting: Giants receiver Kenny Golladay. One of the biggest Fantasy football busts of 2021, Golladay failed to find the end zone in his first year in New York. He had just 521 receiving yards and battled injuries throughout the year, missing multiple games with a knee ailment and playing through injured ribs.
There’s nowhere to go but up for the former Lion, who ranked third in positional rankings in 2019. The Giants overhauled their coaching staff and Golladay benefits from entering the season healthy, unlike Kadarius Toney (knee), Sterling Shepard (Achilles) and Collin Johnson (Achilles). He’s worth a flier at the end of drafts, and the model ranks him ahead of receivers like Chase Claypool and Garrett Wilson, despite those two being drafted multiple rounds earlier on average.
Another sleeper that SportsLine’s Fantasy football rankings 2022 have identified: Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert. Following Zach Ertz‘ trade to Arizona, Goedert became an every-down player and produced as one of the top talents at his position. In that role over 10 games, he averaged 61.4 receiving yards, which projects to a 1,000-yard season over 17 games.
Goedert finished 2021 with a 56-830-4 stat line and ranked eighth among tight ends in Fantasy points. However, the model is more optimistic on his 2022 outlook and has Goedert among the top five tight ends in its 2022 Fantasy football TE rankings.
