Deontay Wilder is one of the strongest heavyweights in boxing today. With 41 wins via knockout, his power cannot be denied. It has brought him a lot of gold.
The former WBC champion defended the belt 10 times before losing to Tyson Fury in 2020 via TKO. Now, Wilder is ready to head back to the top.
He returns to action Oct. 15 to face rising contender Robert Helenius. A win could result in another shot at the WBC title.
The Sporting News looks into how Wilder has accumulated his fortune and where he stands among the wealthiest and most influential athletes in the world.

Per Celebrity Net Worth, Wilder’s net worth is around $30 million.
Comparing Wilder to other heavyweights, Tyson Fury’s net worth is around $65 million. Anthony Joshua’s net worth is $80 million. Wilder’s opponent on Oct. 15, Robert Helenius, has a reported net worth of about $1 million.
Per Celebrity Net Worth, Wilder’s career earnings top $70 million.
Wilder took home $2 million when he faced Luis Ortiz in March 2018. He made $20 million in their 2019 rematch. Wilder made $10 million for his knockout victory over Dominic Breazeale in 2019.
The trilogy fight against Tyson Fury meant an increase in Wilder’s salary. Wilder earned $10 million in the first bout and about $28 million in the rematch. For the third fight, Wilder took home a guaranteed purse of $10 million, including a share of the pay-per-view revenue.

Per Forbes, Wilder has earned approximately $500,000 through endorsement deals. He has partnered with Everlast Boxing, PureKana CBD and Raising Cane’s.
Wilder has more than 2.7 million followers on Instagram, 1 million followers on Facebook, and 768,400 followers on Twitter.
Wilder has credited his grandmother for him wanting to help people outside the ring.
He recently put together a charity golf tournament that was organized by fiancee Telli Swift’s Boxing Wags Association.
In 2019, Wilder hosted an Easter event to give back to families in rural Alabama.
“I grew up in that kind of area,” Wilder told Premier Boxing Champions. “It’s only right for me to [give back]. Though I’ve been successful and obtained the things I’ve obtained, I’m not far from reality and what goes on in the real world. I’ve been poor, and I’ve been rich. I came from a struggling family, so I know how hard it is. It ain’t nothing pretty. People who’ve never been through it can’t relate. They can try to picture it, but they’ll never understand it because they’ve never been in the trenches.
“But I understand, and that’s my target, [to help] those types of kids. They are very smart, intelligent kids and people are just writing them off. Kids are one of the reasons I come back to Alabama. This is my headquarters.”
