WWE Raw star written off TV? – Wrestling News

Based on what happened during the closing moments of Monday Night Raw, it looks like a top star will be off TV for a while.
Tonight's episode was main evented by Edge against Dominik Mysterio. Edge went through with the match despite the pleas from Rey Mysterio earlier in the show.
Towards the end of the match, Rey jumped in the ring to plead with Edge not to spear his son. The rest of The Judgment Day attacked and Edge was taken out by several chairs to the leg from Dominik and the a Coup de Grace on top of a chair from Balor. Jimmy Smith's then immediately said that it looked like Edge's leg might be broken.
The angle came across as a way to write Edge off TV since these type of attacks are usually done to give someone time off. Edge is not on a full-time schedule so he could be going on vacation for a few weeks or a couple of months and then resume the storyline when he returns. If Edge is indeed taking time away, the question is who will step up to help Rey fight off The Judgment Day?
