LEGO News, Reviews and Builds
There’s a huge discount on LEGO Technic’s 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car at Zavvi using a new code for extra savings on the set.
Just in time for the end of the current racing season, the massive LEGO Technic 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car is now 29% off with a new code at Zavvi. Currently, at the retailer, the new RRP has not yet been implemented and 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car is on offer for £132.99, saving you £27.
However, you can increase that discount further by using code LEGO10 at checkout, which will reduce to set to £119.70. Based on the recently increased RRP, that’s a saving of over 29%.
Click here to head to Zavvi now and get 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car for £119.70 using code LEGO10.
42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car is the first officially licensed Formula 1 vehicle in LEGO Technic and one of the biggest models for the racing season ever released by the LEGO Group.
The money that you save on ordering this model through Zavvi could go towards motorising it as reported here. 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car is a close collaboration with the team at McLaren Racing with both this model and the real car it is based on developed simultaneously – not something you can say for every set.

You can order this LEGO Technic build at Zavvi now for £119.70 when using code LEGO10 at checkout, a code that also works with any set at Zavvi over £75. This deal is dependent on stock levels though and won’t be quite as effective should Zavvi implement the new RRPs.

Although I recall this set being in the September price increases, when I checked Lego.com today the price is £169.99. Did it increase and decrease or never increase? Either way the almost £50 discount is significant. The frustration with Zavvi is the £1.99 postage cost, regardless of spend. Amazon’s threshold is £20, John Lewis and Lego itself both have £50. Who else has no threshold?
