During the NBA Night, the Atlanta Hawks managed to beat the Denver Nuggets 117-109, with another great news. Bogdan Bogdanovic finally came back to the court.
The former Fenerbahce player suffered a knee injury at the end of the 2021-2022 NBA season and underwent surgery missing EuroBasket 2022 with Serbia.
Against his fellow countryman Nikola Jokic, he made his debut in the 2022-23 NBA season, scoring 5 points in 22 minutes spent on the court.
Bogdan Bogdanovic felt great when he stepped into the court of the State Farm Arena. “I feel amazing. We won the game and that’s what makes me happy. It’s really exciting to come back. When I was checking in, I was really calm and I was ready. I didn’t expect that ovation and crowd to go crazy. I couldn’t hear nothing, and it was perfect”, he said in the post-game press conference.
“It was the first time experiencing that type of injury. When you get hurt, you want to come back really bad. There were a lot of tough nights, but at the same time, I didn’t have a lot of setbacks. I just needed more time to heal. I was surrounded by family and people who gave me a positive spirit. Now I’m back, and hopefully for good”, he added.
