Original members for WWE’s Damage CTRL stable revealed – Wrestling News

Damage CTRL made its debut at this year’s WWE SummerSlam with the returning Bayley, Dakota Kia, and IYO SKY after Bianca Belair retained the WWE Raw Women’s Title over Becky Lynch.
Since the faction formed, Kai and SKY have won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on two separate occasions, while Bayley has challenged for the Raw Women’s Title on a few different occasions.
While speaking on the Getting Over podcast, Kai revealed the initial pitch for Damage CTRL, naming the stars Bayley wanted in the original lineup years ago. Bayley originally had Raw star Candice LeRae and former WWE star Tegan Nox in mind.
“When (Bayley) first mentioned it to me a couple of years (ago)…it was myself, Candice LeRae and Tegan (Nox.) Those were the ones that were from the start. And obviously, things that happened from then until now, everything changes.”
Kai also noted that a more recent nixed pitch would’ve seen SKY, Alba Fyre, and Raquel Rodriguez in the faction.
The faction, alongside Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley, lost to Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim, and Becky Lynch in the Women’s WarGames bout at Survivor Series. You can listen to the entire interview by clicking on the player below:
