2022 was Lewis Hamilton’s worst season in his Formula 1 career, as he failed to claim a single victory.
On the back of having endured a challenging season both physically, mentally, and emotionally, Lewis Hamilton appears to be making the most of his winter break.
A week after releasing a video of himself driving a beautiful Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R in Japan, a clip that has since angered the rental company he got the car from, the seven-time World Champion has been seen enjoying himself in considerably more fashionable conditions.
Hamilton was spotted on the red carpet at a Dior menswear show in Giza, Egypt, where he was photographed with model friend Naomi Campbell whilst wearing a grey and black jacket.
The British driver is clearly making the most of what will be a relatively short winter break for the drivers, considering that the 2023 season is starting considerably earlier than usual.

The season opening Bahrain Grand Prix will incredibly take place on the 5th March in just 91 days’ time.
Next season will start earlier than usual due to the 2023 calendar being the biggest in the history of the sport, with it currently boasting 23 races.
This figure was supposed to be 24; however, it was confirmed towards the end of the week that the Chinese Grand Prix has been cancelled for the third successive season, as a result of the country’s incredibly strict COVID-19 guidelines.
According to reports, the sport is considering a replacement race so that the calendar remains at 24 races for next season, with a return to Portugal the most speculated option so far.
Whilst some have called for a replacement race not to occur, due to the size of the season already, the absence of China leaves a four-week gap between the Australian Grand Prix and the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Given how rare even a two-week break is in F1 nowadays, this four-week gap will certainly have to be addressed by the championship’s hierarchy.
After enduring the worst season of his F1 career, Hamilton will be eyeing up a return to the top in 2023 and an unprecedented eighth World Championship.
In 2022, Hamilton not only claimed his lowest end-of-year result, but he also failed to claim a single victory for the first-time in his F1 career.

Prior to 2022, the 37-year-old had won a race in every season of F1 he’d competed in, a record he can no longer boast.
It’s not just Hamilton who’ll be wanting to come back with a bang in 2023, with Mercedes having a Constructors’ title to reclaim from Red Bull.
Mercedes claimed the Constructors’ Championship every year from 2014-2021, before Red Bull sealed their first since 2013 in 2022.
