Second Phase of Pakistan's T20 Women's Cricket Tournament starts 5th December – Female Cricket

A couple of upcoming events on the International Cricket Council (ICC) calendar for its women’s cricketers is the Women’s T20 World Cup and the inaugural edition of the Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) eying for better results from both the ICC event has boosted its lead-up by scheduling a ‘T20 Women’s Cricket Tournament’ which had its curtain raiser played on the 26th of November.
 
The tournament in its inaugural edition is being conducted in Lahore, in a two-phase format. The recently concluded, first phase, has three teams namely; Conquerors, Invincibles, and Stars featuring across 4 games each starting on the 26th of November till the 2nd of December. While Conquerors consist of U-19 players, the Invincibles and the Stars consist of emerging players.
Stars led by Huraina Sajjad won all their four matches in the first phase, while Conquerors won two matches and Invincibles remained winless. Now that the 6-match, phase 1, of the tournament is concluded, the second phase is scheduled to get underway on the 5th of December at the two venues of Lahore; Lahore Gymkhana and the LCCA Ground.
Phase 2 will see 4 teams namely; Blasters, Challengers, Dynamites, and Strikers. The phase will see top Pakistan cricketers in action from the 5th to the 7th of December in the round-robin format. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host the tournament’s Final between the top two sides on the 9th of December.

Viewers can watch the game live and for free on Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB’s) YouTube Channel from 10:00 AM PKT with the toss to be held at 9:30 PKT.
Rewards in-store will see the best performer of every match take home PKR 20,000 and the player of the tournament awarded a check worth PKR 50,000. While the winning team’s check worth is locked at PKR 1 million, the runners-up will receive PKR 0.5 million.
