WWE News: Kurt Angle WWE: The former world champion was a formidable competitor in WWE during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression era. One of the best in-ring workers in pro wrestling, Angle fought in his last match three years ago at WrestleMania 35. On the night he faced Baron Corbin in a singles bout but failed to have the last laugh. However, his legacy remains as strong as ever and the Olympic gold medalist will be forever considered as one of the bests to have graced the squared circle. WWE News: Kurt Angle gives a major update on if he will be wrestling again
During a recent interview with Sportskeeda, the WWE Hall of Famer shed light on if he would like to wrestle for one last time. Though he seemed in doubt due to a knee replacement he underwent 5 months ago, he did not completely rule out the idea of wrestling with someone from the current crop of superstars.
“I don’t think so. I had a knee replacement five months ago. I’m good. I think I’ve had a good enough career that I’m very proud of. If it does come to be, then it will probably be a tag match like Ric Flair did so that I don’t get exposed. I hate to say it, but I’m not exactly the same wrestler I used to be. But if I did decide to have a wrestling match, it would be against younger guys that could carry me. And I’d make sure that it was a tag match, so I was not exposed.” (via ewrestlingnews)

In the same interview, Angle gave his opinion on participating in a tag team bout.
The 53-year-old admitted that it’s very hard to bring back the quality he produced during his younger days but professed that he might opt for a tag team bout in the future.
It’s hard to say this right now because I’m basically telling the fans, ‘Hey, I can’t really wrestle anymore but watch me in my next match!’ But I’m just telling the truth. I’m an honest person, and I’m just saying I’m not like I used to be and never will be. But you know what, maybe down the road, I might do a tag match.” (via ewrestlingnews)
